www.insideHALTON.com | OAKVILLE BEAVER | Wednesday, October 23, 2013 | 10 A 21-year-old Oakville man has been released from hospital after being stabbed twice in the back during a robbery that took place in the area of Marlborough Court Monday night. Police said around 6:30 p.m. the victim was meeting with a man outside 1229 Marlborough Ct. when he was attacked by three men. Police said they responded to the address at 6:30 p.m. after receiving reports of a fight taking place. The 21-year-old was stabbed during the incident. Man stabbed in back on Marlborough Court He was subsequently taken to Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital with non-life threatening injuries. "This was not a random incident," said Det. Sgt. Kevin Maher of the Oakville Criminal Investigations Bureau. "The suspects targeted this particular victim." Maher said the motive for the assault was robbery, but at this time, it is not clear what, if anything, was stolen. The victim was taken to hospital, treated for non-life-threatening injuries and has been released. The first suspect is described as having light brown skin, in his early 20s with an average height and stocky build. He wore a gray baseball cap, a darkcoloured hooded sweatshirt, and baggy blue jeans. The second suspect is described as having light brown skin, in his early 20s, and tall with a stocky build. He wore a black baseball cap, a darkcoloured hoodie and dark-coloured pants. The third suspect is said to have light brown skin, in his early 20s, and short with a stocky build. He wore a white baseball cap, a light-coloured hoodie and dark-coloured baggy pants. The trio of suspects was seen driving a newer model silver, four-door sedan. Police are not releasing information about the victim.
