The iPad provides a useful tool for students to complete their notes and assignments, communicate with their teachers, carry out research and organize due dates for assignments and assessments. Rotherglen plans to begin the 1:1 iPad program with their intermediate students and expand the program to additional grades in future years. Introducing iPads into our programming was a natural progression in the use of technology at the school," says Patrick Lanigan, assistant head of school. "The school has enlisted the support of an iPad specialist to work with teachers on a weekly basis to support the integration of iPads into the existing programming. This is all part of our commitment to integrating technology into the classroom," explains Lanigan. "Rotherglen School is dedicated to meeting the needs of learners through the use of technology to support the curriculum while providing students with stimulating and interactive learning tools that enhance learning," says Lanigan.
