Riding for Pulmonary Fibrosis Friday's fundraiser will see participants ride 18 stationary bikes at 45-minute intervals at the top of every hour between 3-9 p.m. "Each segment is led by an Oakville cycling instructor who will make it fun and immersive for the riders," said Alexander-Carew. Last year's event had the maximum 108 riders participate and raised $25,000 -- two things Alexander-Carew says he wants to see happen again this year. The proceeds from the inaugural event funded a full-time respirologist at Toronto General Hospital who is dedicated to researching PF . This year's funds will go to the Canadian Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation and the Interstitial Lung Clinic in Toronto, which researches lung diseases and develops new ways of diagnoses.
