In Halton, residents continue to divert 60% of waste away from the landll through Blue Box and GreenCart programs--this is one of the highest diversion rates in the province. But there is still more we can do to reduce our garbage and extend the life of Halton's landll--a savings of $15 million for taxpayers. The estimated cost to replace the landll site in 2044 would be over $750 million. By participating in Halton's waste diversion programs, we can make a difference!
