He is survived by his beloved wife of 36 years, Ewa, and loving children Alexandra (Robert), Natalia (Ryan), and Jacob. He will be sorely missed by his older brother and sister, nieces and nephews, both in Canada and in Poland, his extended `family' of long-time friends, and the dogs who worshipped him, Abbey and Toby. The world is a sadder and duller place without his sense of humour, but his spirit will live on in all the people whose lives he has touched. Mirek fought to live until the end, and while we are devastated by the loss of our beloved husband, father, brother, uncle, and friend, we are grateful he is at peace. Mirek was the proud owner and operator of Gorski Auto Centre, and was frequently surrounded by loyal customers and friends who would drop by for a chat, even when their car did not require any repairs. Mirek's skilled reputation and integrity led customers to travel great distances to visit him and Gorski Auto Centre. There will be a celebration of Mirek's life on Wednesday, October 30th at 1 pm at Glen Oaks Memorial Chapel and Reception Centre, 3164 Ninth Line in Oakville. In lieu of flowers, we ask for donations to an account for Mirek's 15-year old son, Jacob Gorski. Transit # 22282 Institution # 004 Account # 6085015, at TD Bank. Mirek's family would like to encourage blood donations through Canadian Blood Services, and joining the global stem cell registry through OneMatch.ca; both helped in his fight against leukemia. Mirek's passion for life is only surpassed by the love we have for him. May he rest in peace.
