"I'm just dealing with it. I have to make all these decisions now and I'm just not ready for it. I'm taking it one day at a time," she said, choking back tears. She said her husband was in the process of setting up a renovation business in Oakville. Veloso said all she knows about her husband's death is what has been reported in the media. Radisic and two men were in an altercation at a Kitchener gas station. The argument moved to Harold Avenue where Radisic was allegedly stabbed once in the torso. He died a short time later. An autopsy revealed a stab wound as probable cause of death. Veloso added that she doesn't think the men knew her husband. She told the Beaver she wanted to speak publicly about her husband after media reports focused on some of the serious brushes Radisic had with the law. Radisic has a lengthy criminal record, including a 2005 conviction for kidnap- Anton Radisic was close to his wife and son only got to spend a year with him," said Veloso. "He always wanted to be with him." She said her husband, who enjoyed golfing, swimming and spending time with his friends, worked for a number of years at his family's pizzeria in Waterloo, Ont. In 2010, Radisic and Veloso moved to Oakville, where he was raised. Veloso said family and friends are supportive, but said it is difficult when her child looks at pictures of his father wondering where he is. "Thank goodness he doesn't really understand what is going on because it would be hard for him," said Veloso, sobbing. "They were close."
