- A postcard sent from England by Ron Powell who had enlisted in the Canadian Forestry Corp. He came back to work on the farm in Oakville in April 1919 and married Ruth Cullingworth that October. They bought the "old Caverhill" farm on Fourth Line just north of Upper Middle Road, west side of the Sixteen Mile Creek.
