SIMPSON, Leonard Gordon (Retired from the Oakville Fire Department) On Saturday, November 2nd, 2013, Leonard Simpson, age 77, with courage and determination stood tall in the face of declining health, passed peacefully at Oakville-Trafalgar Memorial Hospital. After a well-traveled life, highlighted by their own brand of adventure, he is survived by his devoted wife of 48 years, Nancy, who has always stood resolute by his side. Len is survived by his loving children John, Janet (Ian), James (Rhiannon), his grandchildren Jake, Cayde & Mitchell McKinstray, and his dear brothers Russell (Betty) and Keith (Beryl). He was preceded in death by his loving parents, Ernest & Lillian and brothers John & Ken. The Kopriva Taylor Funeral Home , 64 Lakeshore Road West, Oakville (1 block east of Kerr, 905-844-2600), will host his visitation from 2-4pm on Saturday, November 9th with a service on Sunday, November 10th at 1 pm. A wake follows immediately after the service at O'Finn's Irish Temper, 136 Church St., Oakville. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation, the Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital Foundation, or the Princess Margaret Hospital in Toronto.
