Easter Seals Ontario development manager Lisa-Marie Smith said the tournament, one of four held by Easter Seals this year, will return to Oakville next fall. | photos by Graham Paine -- Oakville Beaver The Oakville Hornets novice Golden Jaguars went undefeated in four games, including a 4-3 victory over Barrie Pink in the final, to win the championship at the recent Hockey Sharkfest Tournament in Barrie. OSC board president, VP , treasurer re-elected Jennifer Madill was re-elected as president of the Oakville Soccer Club board at the club's Annual General Meeting, held Saturday at Oakville Town Hall. Vince D'Amico (vice-president) and Al D'Addese (treasurer) also retained their board positions, while Tony Vosper was elected to the role of secretary. OSC members also elected four new directors to take the place of outgoing board members. Voted to join the board were Randy Bianchin, Giancarlo Florio, Brett Huntington and Sean O'Brien, replacing Laura Niro, Chris Wight and Satinder Bal. "The Oakville Soccer Club is pleased to welcome our new board members. We are lucky to have a board with such a breadth of career and volunteer experience, as well as a strongly vested interest in OSC and the betterment of our players," said Dave Harris, OSC executive director. "We wish all the best to our outgoing board members and can't thank them enough for their service." Golden Jaguars novices win Sharkfest hockey title in Barrie Kate Roberts scored twice to help the Oakville Hornets novice Golden Jaguars build a 4-0 lead and then held off a late rally by Barrie Pink to win 4-3 in the championship game of the 22nd annual Hockey Sharkfest Tournament in Barrie. Camryn Harley and Sarah Drobner also scored for the Jaguars in the victory. The Golden Jaguars went undefeated in the tournament, tying their first two round-robin games and then winning their third to secure a place in the final. Other members of the Jaguars are: Charlotte Payne, Regan Flannery, Paige Fiorelli, Danielle Telfer, Haley Selby-Tran, Katelyn Donaghy, Julia Sheppard, Mackenzie Santosuosso, Adelaide Birtch, Simrit Grewal, Ella MacDonald, Caleigh Johnston, Jamie King, Meghan That, coaches Doug Johnston, Andrew That, Michael Fiorelli and trainer Jennifer Taht.
