The bonspiel, which is open to men 55 years of age and older, attracted 28 teams. Delmanor Glen Abbey retirement home representatives Kelley Bristow, Julie Shuster and Karen Goyer presented Clark's rink with the championship trophy. Three other Oakville entries posted 4-1 records and were victorious in consolation finals. The 17-year-old won her second medal at the national women's under-18 hockey championships last month, helping Ontario Blue take silver. Last year, Miller was a member of the Ontario Blue team that ended Ontario Red's seven-year run as Canadian champions, knocking off its provincial rivals in the semifinal before topping Manitoba in the gold-medal game. Miller also played in the Ontario Winter Games. The Oakville Trafalgar High School student currently plays for the Oakville Hornets of the Provincial Women's Hockey League and leads the team in both assists (nine) and points (11). She spent last season with the Burlington Barracudas, with whom she had six goals and 16 points in 36 games. "I'm excited to be joining Mercyhurst next season," said Miller. "I love the atmosphere there and the hockey program is incredible." Mercyhurst is 12-5-2 this season, 5-2-1 in conference play, and is currently ranked No. 12 in the NCAA. Miller will be the second Oakville player on the Lakers, joining current sophomore Hannah Bale.
