I said in my head, "I am going to try and do this every year". By Veronica - Gr. 3, St. Andrew Cynthia's Chinese Food? Check. My Aunt, Uncle, and cousin's house? Check. My cousin Kaitlyn to play with? Check. Let me tell you all about my Christmas tradition on Christmas Eve. Starting last year and every year from now, I go to my cousins' house and we order Chinese food from a place called Cynthia's. We have Chinese food on Christmas Eve in memory of my Grandmother whose birthday was on that day and this is what she liked to do. When I am at my cousins, I enjoy playing with my four year old cousin Kaitlyn. My favourite things that I like to eat are chicken balls, Julia H. St. Andrew Cole St. Andrew steamed rice, chicken soo guy, chicken chop suey and fortune cookies. After a bit more playing I go home and then I come back to their house the next day for turkey dinner! By Kylie - Gr. 3, St. Andrew Today I am going to tell you about my favourite family Christmas tradition. My favourite Christmas tradition is when we go to my grandma's house. I like going there because she always makes juicy turkey dinner with steamed carrots all around the turkey. For dessert she makes cold cake. I bet you are telling your grandma, "can I please have juicy turkey dinner with steamed carrots and for dessert can I have cold yummy cake?" (P .S. I don't really like the cake) By Christopher - Gr. 3, St. Andrew My favourite Christmas tradition is when my elf (Elfie) comes to my house and hides in funny places. She also gives us things like cookies and Christmas movies. She has brown short hair, blue eyes, red clothes and a red hat. She is very cheerful. She reports to Santa if I've been good or bad. When she stays in the same spot that means I was bad. But when she moves to a new hiding place in the house that means I have been good! That is my favourite tradition. By Sierra - Gr. 3, St. Andrew My favourite Christmas tradition is when our family gives out the gifts to all our family and friends! This is my favourite family Christmas tradition because we get to see people being happy and having a good time!!! I like the feeling of giving the gifts better than I like the feeling of getting the gifts, because you feel all warm and snuggly inside. It's a wonderful feeling!!! I just can't wait to do it this year! By Isabella - Gr. 3, St. Andrew My favourite family Christmas tradition is: the youngest child in the family puts a star at the top of the tree every year. Our family does this because the older sibling gets a lot of advantages. I have my dad reach out to hold me up and I have to wrap it around the tallest branch on the top tree! Some years this tradition did not follow because our tree was too tall. So why don't you and your family get together and spread a fun holiday Christmas tradition this year?! By Kyle - Gr. 3, St. Andrew Have you ever heard that the Three Wise Men can bring you things just like Santa? Well then let me tell you what I did last year! After Christmas when the Three Wise Men see baby Jesus, I wrote a little card for them and then the next day in- Julia Holy Family Give the perfect gift The perfect gift comes from the heart and has the power to change lives.
