As the 62nd person to assume the role of HHHBA president and a proud first generation builder, De Caria is eager to put his industry knowledge and experience to work with city staff and elected officials in Hamilton and Burlington. Losani Homes Toy and Turkey Drive largest ever Prior to Christmas, Losani Homes staff, trades, partners, and friends came together for the largest Toy and Turkey Drive in its history, raising $280,000 and collecting 850 toys. This spectacular afternoon and appreciation BBQ featured live music, buffet lunch courtesy of the Losani Family and Nonna's Cucina Ristorante in Burlington, and lots of good cheer. The funds were collected through the Hamilton Community Foundation, Ontario's first organization of its kind, which helps support all aspects of community life and has distributed $64 million worth of grants to the community. At $25 per turkey, the funds raised will support various children's charities throughout the Greater Hamilton area. The toys collected will be shared amongst the Hamilton Catholic and Public School boards, as well as the Catholic Children's Aid Society, to ensure that hundreds of children had a present under the tree this past Christmas. CEO Fred Losani said, "I would like to thank everyone who attended and participated in our annual event to help ensure the families in our community have the Christmas they deserve, said CEO Fred Losani.
