However, the faith-based charity says it needs to develop sustainable funding and community partnerships as it strives to continue and expand its efforts to ght poverty. Last July, Gary O'Neill, executive director of KSM, which has assisted those in need for 18 years, acknowledged it might have to shut its doors within three months as it wrestled with a $110,000 de cit. The debt accumulated due to the costs of running KSM's 485 Kerr St. Dream CenGary O'Neill tre, and its programs, which include a food bank, afterschool, and prenatal education and support programs, a summer camp for youths and more. The burden grew lighter after KSM got out word of its precarious situation. "A lot of people didn't realize what was going on and we were so encouraged by their response," said O'Neill. see KSM on p.3 MacLachlan College Oakville's only IB World School, proudly offering the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme ceramics porcelain travertine marble glass natural stone mosaics slate granite quartz FACTORY TILE DEPOT 1360 Speers Road (East of 3rd line) Oakville We shop the world so you don't have to!
