Town council congratulates Olympic athletes Oakville Mayor Rob Burton and Town council congratulated all of Oakville's winter Olympians Thursday and hinted at plans to properly recognize them when they return from Sochi, Russia. Five Oakville athletes are competing at the Sochi 2014 Olympic and Paralympic Games including Brianne Jenner, John Tavares, Kristen Wall, Erika Brown, and Greg Westlake. "Our athletes have made Oakville and Canada extremely proud. It has been fun watching them compete and we will formally recognize their accomplishments after consulting with the athletes and their families," said Burton.
