Open house April 5 at Dog Guide facility The Lions Foundation of Canada Dog Guides, which makes its headquarters in Oakville, is hosting its annual spring open house April 5. Held at the Oakville facility, 152 Wilson St., from 10 a.m.-2 p.m., those who attend will witness Dog Guides from each program demonstrate its skills, tour the facilities and learn about how to foster a future Dog Guide or volunteer with the Lions Foundation. There will also be a silent auction with all the proceeds going towards providing dog guides for free to Canadians with disabilities. It costs approximately $25,000 to raise and train each Dog Guide.
