- Full Text
POWER, Jennifer Hamilton passed peacefully on Friday February 14th in Bobcaygeon at the splendid age of 95. Jenny is survived by her loving daughters June Brand (Wayne) of Lindsay, and Michelle Marriott (Arthur) of Clifton Australia, her grandchildren Shelley Brand, Joe Marriott (Anna) of Vancouver, and Jenny Marriott (Australia). She is pre-deceased by her beloved husband John LeaverPower (2001), her only son John Leaver-Power (2005), son-in-law David Brand (1991), and grand-son Liam (1990). Jennifer was a WWII Veteran, serving with the RAF North Weald, in the War Room. Mum and dad emigrated to Montreal from England in 1956 with 3 kids in tow. In 1967 they moved to Oakville where they lived for many years. Mum loved her garden; no matter where we lived, mum's English gardens were a beautiful oasis for all who walked in them. She was painter of water colours, an avid camper, philosopher, and truly cared for those less fortunate. She volunteered her time and gave generously and lovingly to everyone blessed to meet her along their way. She was brave, witty, devoted to her family and to her Lord. She will always remain our hero. Visitation Friday February 21st @ 10:00a.m. at St. Jude's Anglican Church 160 William Street Oakville, Funeral same day @ 11:00a.m.
