Last week, Oakville's Planning and Development Council supported rezoning the land to allow developer New Horizon Group (Bronte) Inc. to build a mixed-use development on the west side of Old Bronte Road, just south of Dundas Street West. "When Memorial Hall was removed for the new Bronte Road there was a commitment to build a gazebo to commemorate the loss of that building and I understand it hasn't been constructed as of yet and the owner would be more than willing to construct it on this property adjacent to the relocated heritage house," she said.
