Taekwondo kick-a-thon for YMCA Saturday The ninth Oakville Taekwondo Kick-a-thon for YMCA Strong Kids campaign is set for tomorrow (Saturday). The fundraiser is hosted by the Oakville Taekwondo Club at the Peter Gilgan Family YMCA gymnasium, 410 Rebecca St. Students complete a sequence of four, 10-minute kicking and punching rotations as part of the fundraiser, which also includes demonstrations of novice, intermediate and advance belt groups and the club's Black Belt Demonstration Team. Held from 1-3 p.m., the event's goal is to raise $15,000 this year for the Strong Kids campaign to help children, teens and families in need access YMCA programs.
