"They (the res) got progressively worse as the weekend went on," said Oakville Fire Department Deputy Chief Andy Glynn. Fire of cials say no one was seriously injured in the trio of house res, but they caused more than $500,000 worth of damage. The rst happened around 9 a.m. Saturday when re ghters were called to a basement re at a home under renovation on Hudson Place. Glynn said the blaze was minor and easily extinguished. A man, who was in the home at the time, was taken to Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital (OTMH) with minor injuries. see Fire on p.7 Oakville re ghters arrived on the scene of a fully-involved garage re that quickly spread to the attached single-storey home on Lakeshore Road West Saturday night. The blaze broke out just before 11 p.m., sending one occupant to hospital with minor injuries. It gutted the garage and the house sustained severe smoke and some re damage.
