St. Jude's organist Simon Walker and the Cecilia Brass Consort will team up to take the audience on a journey over ve centuries of music from the European Renaissance to 20th century Broadway, with stops in the high Baroque and the late Romantic periods along the way. "With this combination of instruments we'll go from high-powered, bone-shaking drama to music of the greatest delicacy," said Doug Field, St. Jude's Celebration of the Arts Artistic Director and Cecilia Brass Consort conductor. The concert, titled Fugues & Fanfare, begins at 8 p.m. at the church on William and Thomas streets. Tickets cost $30 and are available by calling 905-844-3972 or visiting www.oakvilleconcerts.com.
