PORTER, Thomas Loving and loved to the end. Tom passed away peacefully on March 6th 2014, surrounded by his loving family at the age of 82. Devoted and beloved husband and best friend to Maeve for fifty-eight wonderful years. Loving Father to Thomas (wife Suzanne), Yvonne and Michael (wife Lisa). Cherished Granddad to Keelan, Alicia, Erin, Patrick and Owen. Tom will be sadly missed by his brother, Billy (wife Jean), his many nieces and nephews in England, as well as his sisters-in-law, Edith, Ruth and Yvonne (husband Mike). Tom was born in England and immigrated to Canada in 1965, he was a retired Ford employee. A special thank you to Hans, Tom's very caring PSW as well as Dr. Stern, Dr. Orfi and the caring nurses and staff on 3 East at Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital. Cremation has taken place. A celebration of Tom's life will be held on Thursday, March 20th at 12:00 pm at Ward Funeral Home "Oakville Chapel" 109 Reynolds Street in Oakville. In lieu of flowers and if desired, donations may be made to the seniors' day program at S.E.N.A.C.A., 53 Bond Street, Oakville, Ontario L6K 1L8. "Tom was a kind, gentle, loving and talented man.
