New technical directors at OSC Chris Grierson and Ian Sinclair are the new co-technical directors of the Oakville Soccer Club, the OSC announced Wednesday. The veteran coaches replace Rafael Carbajal, who resigned from the position to pursue external opportunities. Grierson and Sinclair will oversee the club's coaching staff as well as focus on the development of new and innovative specialty programming for players and coaches, ensuring the club develops its members at all levels. They will also be a key component of the club in the development of new programs designed to identify OSC as an important player and good corporate citizen within the Town of Oakville, according to an OSC release. "With the overall scope and increasing needs of our membership which the OSC is fortunate to boast, I believe that Chris and Ian are going to be a tremendous fit in their shared role moving forward," said OSC executive director Dave Harris. "Each brings strong individual skill sets to the role and their expertise and focus (with both genders at a variety of ages) at the rep and house league levels will only make us stronger as an organization. I know they have the respect of our players, coaches and parents, and I look forward to seeing them take the organization to a new level." Grierson has been with the OSC since 2006 and is a national A-level coach with significant experience as both a coach and administrator in Oakville, developing programs at both the rep and house league levels. "It is a privilege to be named technical director with the Oakville Soccer Club. I look forward to continuing to work with a fantastic organization and its players, coaches and parents," Grierson said. Sinclair is a national B-level coach who has been with OSC for seven years, also heavily involved at the rep and house league levels as an administrator and coach. "I am proud to have had the opportunity to grow professionally with the Oakville Soccer Club and I look forward to contributing to a vision that truly advances every player," Sinclair said. "I am thrilled at the prospect of serving a great community and a club that is rich in tradition, and am excited for the future of this club."
