Oakville (11-4) defeated the Markham Ironheads 11-4 Friday at Oakville's Toronto Rock Athletic Centre, then earned road wins over the Gloucester Griffins (12-10 Saturday) and Nepean Knights (11-5 Sunday). Keyan McQueen had a game-high seven points (two goals, five assists) in Friday's contest. Foster Cuomo added a goal and five helpers, Eddie Renaud notched a hat trick and Troy O'Donnell potted a pair. Colton Watkinson, Jake Nyhuus and Andrew Kew scored the Buzz's other goals as Oakville outscored the Ironheads 6-1 in the third period. Errol Spring recorded the victory in net. Saturday, Cuomo had two goals and three assists, O'Donnell and Renaud each scored twice and added two assists, and Watkinson set up four markers. Sr. B Titans much improved in 2014 The OLA senior B season isn't even half over, and the Oakville senior B Titans have already nearly matched their win total from last year. Oakville improved to 3-4 on the campaign with a 14-11 win over the St. Catharines Saints Sunday at Glen Abbey Recreation Centre. The Titans were 4-12 in 2012. Brad Gillies (three goals, three assists) and Gage Board (two goals, four assists) both had six points Sunday to lead Oakville. Connor Latimer added a goal and three assists, with Sean Gillies scoring twice and also recording a helper. Kevin Harper, Jeff Sehl, Allister Warren, Luke Laszkiewicz, Ken Coulson and Jordan Saunderson netted the Titans' other tallies. Jay Preece earned the victory in goal, holding the Saints off the scoreboard in the final 10 minutes of regulation. Aldershot pitchers Kyle Dowling and Billy Brand held the Chargers off the scoreboard until Ben Blacker drilled a two-out double with two outs in the top of the seventh (and final) inning, scoring Tyler Rymal from first base. The A's scored an unearned run in the third inning and added two more in the fifth. Webb starting pitcher Harris Voyatsis was saddled with the loss despite allowing two hits and no earned runs in four innings while striking out three. Hector Pina had two of Webb's four hits on the afternoon, clubbing a pair of doubles. The shortstop also made a leaping catch of a line drive in the first inning, stranding two Aldershot runners.
