F A R M E R S ' M A R K E T 23 | Thursday, June 19, 2014 | OAKVILLE BEAVER | www.insideHALTON.com Come and Celebrate Seniors Month Sponsored by Pearl & Pine Retirement Residence Shoppers were out bright and early last Saturday morning taking in the Farmers' Market located at RioCan Oakville Place, in the 240 Leighland Ave. shopping centre's southwest parking area across from the Hudson's Bay store. Samantha Schofield and daughter Aliya, 2, stop to admire and smell the array of `Night Scented Stock' fresh cut flowers at The Flower Lady stall. The spring flower, a native of England and northern Italy, is gaining popularity in Canada with its fragrance. The market, which opened the first weekend in June, runs until mid-October and features fresh Ontario produce, deli meats, baked goods as well as fresh cut flowers. The Saturday market runs until Oct. 25, while a Thursday market opens today (Thursday) until Oct. 9 -- both are open from 8 a.m.-2 p.m., rain or shine. Tech-saavy shoppers can download a free food shopping app for their smartphones at www.farmfreshmarkets.ca or through the QR code at www.oakvillefarmersmarkets.com. | photo by Graham Paine Oakville Beaver (Follow on Twitter @halton_photog or facebook.com/HaltonPhotog) DEALS YOU LOVE FOR LESS Afternoon at the Art Gallery of Burlington June 25, 2014 --2pm to 4pm 1333 Lakeshore Rd, Burlington Enjoy a lovely afternoon at the newly named Art Gallery of Burlington.
