The A's recently dominated the first-ever minor rookieball rep tournament hosted by the Oakville Minor Baseball Association, winning all six of their games by eight runs or more. Oakville tamed the Mississauga North Tigers 12-4 in the final after posting victories over the Markham Mariners (20-3), Pickering Red Sox (29-5), Burlington Bulls (21-1), Kitchener Panthers (19-1) and North York (16-5). The A's met a bit more resistance at last weekend's East York Summer Slam, but still won the tournament. Oakville defeated Cambridge 15-14 (on a game-winning hit by Trevor Woods), lost 19-18 to the Leaside Leafs and then downed the Oshawa Legionnaires 20-11, Aurora Blue Jays 31-18, Leaside 21-15 and Whitby Chiefs 22-5. Other members of the A's squad are Josh Bushen, Anthony Busseri, Louis Busseri, Nicholas Cote, Fraser MacKay, William Marion, Alexander Papadopoulos, Tristan Tarrant, Ethan Wood, Benjamin Wdowczyk and Evan Young. The team is coached by Tony Busseri, Ryan Wood, Len Woods, Dan Marion and Frank Wdowczyk.
