Councillors presented the not-for-profit organization that acts as a voice for the local business community with a certificate of recognition for its 65 years of service. "Since 1949, the Oakville Chamber of Commerce has successfully established itself as a highly-respected voice for Oakville's diverse business community," said Mayor Rob Burton. "I can say with certainty that all of us at the Town and council have a much better understanding and appreciation of the issues and challenges that face Oakville businesses because of the Chamber's advocacy efforts," he said.
