Lockdown on last day of school Staff at West Oak Public School, at 2071 Fourth Line, took no chances Friday -- the last day of school -- placing the facility in hold-and-secure mode after learning one of its students had made a threat to harm students in the school. The hold-and-secure mode was put in place at 9:50 a.m., stopping all movement in and out of the school though activities inside continued. The suspect student was not at the school Friday, but was arrested at lunch time. The youth, who cannot be named because of the Youth Criminal Justice Act, was charged with uttering threats. Anyone with information is asked to contact Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222TIPS (8477) or www.haltoncrimestoppers.com or by texting Tip201 with a message to 274637 (crimes).
