The court scheduled Sean Hewson, 31, of Ancaster, Ont., to return on July 30 at which point the Crown will begin the discovery process. Hewson faces charges including sexual assault, sexual interference, invitation to sexual touching and sexual exploitation. On June 6, Justice of the Peace Paul Macphail granted $50,000 bail to Hewson under strict conditions before releasing him from custody. There is a publication ban in effect. None of the allegations have been proven in court. To date, seven males, including four former members of the Burlington Sailing and Boating Club have come forward with allegations of assaults that took place in the Oakville, Burlington, Nepean and Kingston, Ont. areas when they were between the ages of 13-16, said Halton police. The alleged incidents date back to 2003, according to police, who continue to investigate. Hewson worked at numerous organizations from the YMCAs in Oakville and Burlington, to the Red Cross, and the Oakville and Bronte yacht clubs. Last month, organizations came forward stating the accused was or had been affiliated with them. Those organizations, including the YMCAs in Oakville and Burlington, the local Red Cross, Sean Hewson and yacht clubs Twitter photo in Oakville and Bronte, issued statements to their members and posted messages on their respective websites. Hewson first appeared at a bail hearing May 23 and was remanded until May 27. He had two additional charges brought against him on May 28. In early June, one additional charge was brought against Hewson, prior to bail being set. with files from Julia Le inside today's Spotlight Sports Beaver www.insideHALTON.com 6 16 Kids Classified 15 20 For home delivery & customer service call 905-631-6095, 5300 Harvester Rd., Burlington New subscriptions call 905-631-6095 or subscribe online at www.oakvillebeaver.com Food Basics, City Parent, Metro, M&M Meats, Home Hardware, Real Estate, Kitchen & Bath Inc., Loblaws, Bath Depot, Pandora Canada Inc., Real Canadian Superstore, No Frills, Lowes Canada, Ashley Kamaludeen RE/MAX, 2001 Audio Video, Hudson's Bay Co., Leon's Furniture, Michael-Angelo's, National Sports, Home Outfitters, Fortinos, TG Appliances, Home Depot, Shoppers Drug Mart, Walmart, Pharmasave, Michael's, Future Shop, Sears Geomedia, Drug Trading, Pharma Plus, Toys R Us, Freshco, Centennial Windows, Brick Mattress, Canadian Tire, The Brick, Golf Town, Pet Valu, Rexall, PartSource, Sobeys, Target, Mrs. Green's *All flyers not necessarily delivered to all homes INJURED?
