Predeceased by her husband John, Anne is survived by her sons Chris Hetherington of Oakville, Philip Hetherington of Vancouver BC and Brigadier General Simon Hetherington of Fort Bragg, North Carolina and her daughter Cary Vey of Brantford ON. Mother in law to Wally Vey, Maureen Hetherington, Kim Hetherington and loving grandmother to Jason, Jonathon, Erik, Geoffrey, Emma, Libby and Tara. Anne was born in England and immigrated to Toronto in 1950. She and her husband visited Oakville once, fell in love with the town and moved here in 1960, never to leave. She had many great friends in the area and would always stop to pet and talk to any dog she saw along her walks through downtown. A talented and imaginative craftsperson, Anne was do-it yourselfer well before it became popular. She donated much or her work to local charities. She actively volunteered at the Oakville Seniors' Centre and always enjoyed a new adventure. A memorial service will be held at Oakview Funeral Home, 56 Lakeshore Rd West, Oakville on Wednesday, July 16 2014 at 11:00 AM.
