The rescue group takes in beagles and beagle mixes, mostly from Kentucky, where they are used as hunt dogs, and re-homes them. The fundraiser featured a barbecue, 50/50 draw, and dog washes, courtesy of Doggie Detailing, with all proceeds going to the rescue. Adoptable dogs were also out for the day and many were successfully adopted on site. Clockwise, from top left, Asia, a two- to threeyear-old beagle, who arrived from Kentucky late Saturday night, rests after the long journey before a dream came true and Asia went home with young Lisa McCammon. Jeff McCammon and daughter Lisa were happy to take Asia home, giving the young beagle a forever home. Meanwhile, Dianne Mowat prepares to take Chino, a beagle mix home.
