Focus adds to lineup Ford's European-styled small car has a number o f significant changes to report for 2002. There's a new five-door ZX5 hatch back added to the lineup, along with a ZTW package for the wagon, identified by six-spoke aluminum wheels, per formance axle ratio, ABS, stability con trol and special interior finishes includ ing leather seats. Performance-starved Focus fans will have plenty to crow about with the arrival o f the SVT. which features a 170-horsepower 2.0-litre DOHC engine, distinctive front air dam, ground effects and 17-inch alloy wheels. Elsewhere, the Focus continues to be available as a regular-strength four-door sedan and wagon, as well as a threedoor hatchback. Standard power in the Focus LX and SE sedans is a 2.0-litre SOHC engine that produces 110 horsepower. Optional on both models, but standard in the SE wagon. ZTS sedan and ZX3 hatchback, is a 130-horsepower 2.0-litre DOHC powerplant. The Focus can be ordered with a five-speed manual transmission or optional four-speed automatic.
