Sixteen-year-old Aiza Abid is the founder of Aiza's Teddybear Foundation, a non-pro t or- ganization that works to empower youths and instill positivity by donating stuffed toys to Ontario children in need or battling an illness. Created last year, the foundation has distributed more than 700 stuffed toys, all donated by members of the community. But Abid is not stopping there -- now she is spearheading the Creative Minds Program, which will create and decorate wooden butter y cutouts to be displayed in hospitals and shelters. "In my mind, butter ies are a symbol of a free spirit, and letting go of any past rough experiences and gaining a fresh start," said Abid, of why she chose the butter y symbol. see Butter y on p.8 Save $1,850 $1,850 & beat the heat Call A1: 905-844-2949 *On qualifying home comfort systems.
