Artificial turf fields remain open. Town Communications Adviser Jill MacInnes said staff is inspecting all public parks and woodland trails and that some of the worst-hit areas would be cordoned off. "Many parks and trails are flooded and, in some cases, completely washed out," she said. "Residents are advised to use caution if using these areas." Conservation Halton (CH) is asking residents to be careful around rivers, streams, lakes and ponds. The organization said elevated water levels, fastflowing water and slippery conditions along stream banks can make these locations extremely dangerous.
