Oliver eyes Oakville federal Liberal seat Oakville's John Oliver, former president and CEO of Halton Healthcare Services (HHS), announced Thursday he is entering the race to become the next federal Liberal candidate for the Oakville riding. "I'm grateful for the opportunities and success I've enjoyed in Oakville and Halton Region since 1990, and it would be a tremendous honour to represent the community of Oakville on the federal level," said the 19-year resident of Oakville and father of three. "The prospect of joining the Liberal team at this time is also very exciting, given how Justin Trudeau has energized both the party and Liberalism in this country," he said.
