Anderson won gold in the 25-metre freestyle and silver in the 25m breaststroke, 25m backstroke and 4x50m freestyle relay. Mahoney added a silver in the 25m freestyle, one of four events he competed in at nationals. This was the first Canadian championships for both athletes, who qualified for nationals with strong showings at the provincial Games in Kingston. Anderson, 25, has swum with the Marlins for four years. She also loves horses and is an accomplished English horseback rider. Mahoney, 22, is a 10-year veteran with the Marlins squad. He loves movies, particularly Marel movies.
