Award winners were announced in three categories -- M edia, Small Business and Corporate. Additional awards handed out included an Arts Leadership Award and a Special Achievement Award. The Oakville Arts Council (OAC) and Mayor Ann Mulvale recognized Oakville businesses for contributing to the many local arts organizations through monetary donations, in-kind donations and volunteer time. Nominations are submitted by local arts groups and then evaluated by a selec tion committee led by Mulvale. This year Paradiso Restaurant picked up top honors in the Small Business category. Complete Party Rentals was runner-up while Dan Cooper/Royal LePage was given an hon ourable mention. In the Corporate catego ry, Oakville Hydro was named the winner while runner-up was RBC Financial Group and Procor Limited received an hon ourable mention. The A rts Leadership Award for individual achievement went to Diane Quinn and Keith Freiter who had been nominated by the RBC Festival of Classics. Shirley Johnson, owner of Catered Fare, received a Special Achievement Award in the Small Business category for ongoing support of the arts. Above is a group photo of the various award winners.
