Robertson has been living with the paralyzing neuromuscular disease known as Lou Gehrig's disease, or amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), for close to 10 years. He received the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal in 2012 for his leadership in the ALS community. The Oakville couple was joined by Ward 2 Councillor Pam Damoff and Rock owner Jamie Dawick, as they completed the challenge at the Toronto Rock Athletic Centre, 1132 Invicta Dr., in Oakville.
