George Wettlaufer Dead
Palermo, Nov. 16-(Special)-
George Wettlaufer, a resident of this district for 30 years, died at his home in his 82nd year, after over a year's illness, during which period he was practically helpless. Born at New Hamburg, Perth County, Mr. Wettlaufer kept a General Store at Hawkesville, Waterloo County, for a number of years before coming to Palermo, where he settled on a farm on the 2nd Concession and retired to the village five years ago. His wife predeceased him in March of 1915. Surviving are three sons and four daughters, Blake of Toronto, James of Brantford, Eckhardt of Palermo, Mrs. J.J Wilson of Regina, Sask., Mrs. A.E. Waterbury of New York City, Mrs. R. Christener and Mrs. B. Hill, both widows, who resided with their father.
