A Mississauga man died in a motorcycle crash that closed Trafalgar Road at McCraney Street in Oakville shortly after 6 p.m. Tuesday. The Halton police Collision Reconstruction Unit (CRU) is investigating the accident that saw emergency services called to the intersection of Trafalgar and McCraney/White Oaks Boulevard in response to a collision between an SUV and a motorcycle. Upon arrival, paramedics found the unresponsive motorcycle rider on the road. He was rushed to Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital, but was pronounced dead upon arrival at hospital. Police said Wednesday they will not be naming the man. The female driver of the SUV and her 11-year-old passenger were shaken up, but not injured. They were checked by paramedics as a precaution.
