Halton Region is warning residents about reports of a possible telephone fraud scam targeting electricity customers across Southern Ontario. Several people have reported receiving phone calls from a 1-800 number whereby a caller posing as a representative from a legitimate electrical utility threatens to cut off a resident's power.
