In its most recent action, Oakville dropped a 5-3 decision to the Whitby Fury Friday at Sixteen Mile Sports Complex and was defeated 4-2 by the St. Michael's Buzzers Sunday in Toronto. Ross Sloan had two goals and an assist for the Blades Friday, with Brandon Hughes providing Oakville's other marker. Off the ice, the Blades made two significant roster moves last week. Thursday, the team dealt forward Joe Mitchell and defenceman Brian Hurley to the Pickering Panthers for blueliner Tanner Shaw. A few days earlier, Oakville signed Max Lindsay, a 20-yearold forward who helped the Halifax Mooseheads win the Memorial Cup in 2013. The Blades will be home to the Buffalo Jr. Sabres tomorrow (Friday, 7:30 p.m.) at Sixteen Mile, then visit the Burlington Cougars the following evening.
