The program is based on a partnership between the school and business/industry and involves participation of stu dents, teachers and employers. The Oakville Beaver has the privilege of co-op services from the Sheridan College Advertising program student Jennifer Rocha. Jennifer has successfully completed her first year of the Sheridan College Advertising program and is looking forward to starting her second years. She plans to go to University when she completes her program with Sheridan. Jennifer likes all aspects of advertising, but especially enjoys the creative side. She is interested in pursuing work for a magazine or ad agency. "I would like to thank the staff of the Oakville Beaver as well as the local businesses who made this endeavor possible, putting their faith and encouragement into this invaluable hands-on learning experience." In addition to providing temporary work experience, co-op placement can help students to make decisions about their future careers and gain confidence in making the transition from post-secondary education to the real world of work. We ask that our readers support the profiled businesses who made this proj ect possible. This project allows you to "get to know" these business people from a students perspective. By visiting their businesses, you support our youth and the co-op partnership.
