`Dragon' Treliving to kick off Small Business Week `Dragon' Jim Treliving will help the Oakville Chamber of Commerce kick off Small Business Week Oct. 20. The Chamber, in partnership with the Business Development Bank of Canada (BDC), will present Treliving, chair and owner of Boston Pizza, as the keynote speaker for the Small Business Week Kickoff Breakfast on Monday Oct. 20 at the Oakville Conference Centre. With his business partner, George Melville, Treliving has grown the operation from one Boston Pizza location in 1968 to more than 400 restaurants across North America, as well as invested in many other successful businesses across Canada and the U.S. In addition to his business pursuits, Treliving stars as one of five Dragons on the highly successful CBC reality TV show, Dragon's Den, where aspiring entrepreneurs secure a financial investment from the Dragons to start their own business. He is also host of a new CBC TV show called Big Decision, where he visits struggling businesses across Canada to evaluate their issues and potentially get involved to help turn them around.
