Date 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Location Sheridan College 1430 Trafalgar Road, Oakville (main entrance) Saturday, September 27, 2014 Halton residents may drop off the following household materials free of charge: Household Hazardous Waste Electronic waste Twenty cyclists taking part in the Sears National Kids Cancer Ride (from Vancouver to Halifax) stopped for a rest break outside the Sears store at Oakville Place Sunday morning. The riders were joined by a few dozen other cyclists, as well as some family members who were on hand to greet them. Cyclist Mark Burger, a firefighter with Halton Hills Fire and a Georgetown resident, joined the ride in Oakville, Sunday morning. He will do a half-tour, travelling from Oakville to Halifax with the group, which should take seven days -- covering 250 km a day. In the past, he has done the complete cross-Canada tour three times before.
