Sean Hewson, 31, of Ancaster, is charged with 21 counts, including sexual assault, sexual interference, invitation to sexual touching and sexual exploitation. Counsel appearing for Hewson's lawyer, Kaley Hepburn, asked the case be put over until Oct. 22 while more than 2,000 pages of disclosure is reviewed. The Crown agreed to the request for the October date. Hewson did not appear before the court. On June 6, Justice of the Peace Paul Macphail granted $50,000 bail to Hewson under strict conditions before releasing him from custody. There is a publication ban in effect. None of the allegations have been proven in court. To date, seven males, including four former members of the Burlington Sailing and Boating Club have come forward with allegations of assaults see Alleged on p.8 Brothers attend as `Aunt Liz' sworn in as Lt. Prime Minister Stephen Harper announced Dowdeswell's appointment as the 29th Lieutenant Governor of Ontario in July. She succeeds David Onley, who held the position since 2007. Shortly after the announcement, Dowdeswell was at her brother's house in Oakville for a barbecue where she broke the news to her nephews Kyle Patton, 13, and Cole Patton, 11, and invited them to be part of the installation ceremony. Together, Kyle and Cole rode in a carriage with their aunt and her Chief Aide-de-Camp from the Royal Ontario Museum to the Ontario Legislature during Tuesday's ceremony. "We are really honoured, and happy, and proud to be with her on her special day," said Kyle. see Aunt on p.5 A Legacy of Excellence SAUNDERS, SAXTON & WINTER JOHNSTON & DANIEL DIVISION Wendy Saunders Sales Representative Sales Representative Kim Saxton Ruth Anne Winter Broker Royal LePage Real Estate Services Ltd., Brokerage 136 Church Street, Suite 4A, Oakville, ON | 905.845.1223 sswteam.ca | johnstonanddaniel.com | luxur ypor tfolio.com
