- Rev. Mr. Willoughby of Ringwood occupied the congregational pulpit again last Sunday. He preached two eloquent sermons which were thoroughly enjoyed by all who had the pleasure of hearing them. Mr. Willoughby will preach again next Sunday morning, his subject being "The Triumph of Love." There will be no service in the evening owing to the Presbyterian anniversary.
The Methodists and Baptists held union services last Sunday. Rev. H.A. Cook was the preacher.
Thanksgiving service was held in the Methodist church last Thursday morning. There was a fairly good audience representing all the churches in town. Rev. R.F. Cameron preached a practical sermon on the subject of "Tithing." An offering was taken to be devoted to charity.
Quarterly meeting will be held in the Methodist church next sunday, beginning at 10 o'clock, adn will be led by Messrs. Williams and Brownridge, after which sermon and sacrament of the Lord's supper. There will be no service in the evening on account of the Presbyterian anniversary.
There will be no service in the Baptist church next sunday morning on account of the anniversary in the Presbyterian church. Service in the evening as usual.
