Description
- Full Text
- At the Baptist Convention of Ontario and Quebec, held at Peterboro during the past week, Mr. R.D. Warren, publisher of the Herald, was elected president for the year 1906-7.
In the absence of Mr. Warren we are pleased to state that this is an honor which will not be confined to Mr. Warren himself. It is an honor to the church in town with which he has been so long associated and it is an honor to Georgetown, in whose welfare the publisher of thh Herald has always shown a great interest. There is no one more pleased to know of the appointment than the Herald staff who join in extending congratulations, and as a token of esteem have had the engraver make the above picture of Mr. Warren for insertion in the Herald.
The other officers are Rev. W.H. Walker, London, 1st Vice-President; Rev. Dr. Therrien of Montreal, 2nd Vice-President; Rev. P.K. Dayfoot of Simcoe, an old Georgetown boy, elected Secretary.
