Joseph' s Mediterranean Cuisine is run by father and son team, Pasquale and Anthony Cofla. W ith 70 years o f combined culinary experience, the father and son team have won awards for service as well as for their chicken, seafood, steak and wild game in the Oakville Beaver' s annual Reader' s Restaurant Review. T he restaurant features French and Italian cuisine and specializes in fresh fish, seafood, lamb, steak, veal and pasta. "We only use the most exotic ingredients from coastal countries like France, Italy, Spain and Greece," says owner Anthony. "We've worked long and hard to achieve an authentic Mediterranean look and feel - we make sure to pay special attention to every detail." Joseph's head chef, Kathryne Blackburn, and sous chef Mark Rembacz, work hard to prepare gourmet dishes to the highest standards. For example, they saut^ all vegetables individually, resulting in tastier entries. A couple o f these tempting dishes are the quails with a honey garlic and scallion marinade with grilled Portobello mushrooms, citrus cabernet sauce and jas mine rice; and grilled nine-ounce veal chop with dou ble-smoked bacon, sundried cherries, fresh herbs and Marsella cream sauce with a sweet onion compote. Joseph' s is open Mon. to Fri. from 11:30 p.m. - 10 p.m., Sat. from 5 p.m. - 10 p.m. and SiJh. from 5 p.m. - 9 p.m. T he restaurant will be hosting a wine tasting dinner on Oct. 28.
