Oakville's best-loved chef. Michael Killip, is bringing some old favourites and creating culinary temptations that will delight anyone who enters his restaurant, Twisted Fork. The new restaurant in the heart of Bronte is bright, airy, and comfort able. The decor is neutral and mirrored walls allow one to see every facet of the room. The open kitchen and bar sits in the room's center and the pic turesque view of the lake is the perfect backdrop to your dining experience. "This is what a chef dreams of, this is essentially what you work toward. And when people dine here, they will identify with me. This is my restaurant. It's me. I'm still on cloud nine," says Killip. And the excitement is not only felt by him. Working at Paradiso in downtown Oakville for nine years. Killip developed a loyal following. And those who befriended him throughout his career all stopped by to say hello and show their support during the Twisted Fork's opening night - over four hundred people. "It's wonderful to see all of these familiar faces. The local merchants are wonderful, my friends have showed their support; it's like coming home," he says. A man twisting old sterling silver cutlery' inspired the name, and to con tinue the unique autograph, he's used twisted forks as napkin holders. "Friends and I literally sat here for hours twisting these forks, while people watched through the windows. It's been a lot of fun," he says. Complete a perfect day.
