Natasha Racco and Ariella Racco. "« « n » The Oaville Beaver Show Your Spirit Contest recently came to a close with the end of the school year. Local schools were asked to collect coupons that appeared in the newspaper for the past few months for a chance to win a pizza party and equipment for their entire school. The O a h ille Beaver has been publishing photos of the circula tion staff as they served up more than 4,000 slices of pizza to the winning schools. Mother Teresa won the contest with 3378 coupons collected. They won a pizza party for the whole school and $1,500 towards a new computer system or gym equipment. Eastview Public School and Saint Matthew (picture to left) won a pizza party for the whole school. In co-operation with the `Show your Spirit' promotion. The Oaville Beaver advertising department has been visiting local schools to teach students about newspapers and advertising. Advertising representative Anne Enright recently completed a program with Oaville Christian School that appeared last month. The efforts o f Abbey Lane Public School appear on the following pages. Local business owners support the proj ect by purchasing an advertisement for the children in the class to design. The project will continue through the summer months with Oalaille Beaver carriers attending a `newspaper cam p' where they will be ^ble to design an ad.
